People have told of the 'terrifying' moment a car mounted the curb and crashed into a seafront bar in Weymouth earlier today.
As reported, the car crashed into the outdoor seating of Nook Cocktail Bar at 12.23pm today, injuring two people.
A major emergency response saw two fire engines, three ambulances and the coastguard join police at the scene.
Steve, was opposite the Nook at one of the beach kiosks when the car smashed into a group of people enjoying a drink.
He said: "People were sat outside having drinks, I heard a loud bang and I have seen a car go into all of them.
"I walked past there moments before it happened, I heard a big crash and lots of screaming and people running from the other side of the road.
"A car mounted the pavement, hit all of the tables and then the railing.
"It was terrifying.
"It is not something that usually happens in Weymouth, one minute you are having a drink, the next cars are crashing into buildings."
The crash saw part of the Esplanade from the King's Statue to the pavilion closed off, as well as the beach, leaving people in the area worried and concerned.

A person who wished to remain anonymous said,: "I heard someone ran over someone but I don't know for sure.
"They've blocked off a big side of the road. Everybody's talking about it across Weymouth it's concerning."
Angel Chant was out for the day in Weymouth and described how the car looked after it smashed into the front of the bar.
She said: "We went over to see if there was an argument, there was a massive crowd. The police were telling people to stop filming and stop standing on walls. We saw the front part of the car and the shop was pushed down. "
A third person saw the paramedics on the beach after an air ambulance landed.
Mr Walker from Dorchester said: "I saw several ambulances and then an air ambulance and police helicopter in the sky.
"A paramedic rushed up the beach and they had set up these large blue windbreakers and I didn't know if any people were in there - it really turned my stomach.
"I just hope everyone is okay."
People's whose cars were parked in the area had to wait until the emergency services had secured the area and taken the injured to hospital before returning to their cars.
One member of the public who wished not to be named said: "We are waiting to get to our car, but we can't get to it at all. We heard some cutting noises from the fire engine. Just hope everyone's ok"
