A MAN breached a court order by watching porn on his work laptop.
24-year-old George Day, of Bittles Green in Motcombe, appeared before Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, June 27.
He was charged with two counts of breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO)/ Interim SHPO.
The charges refer to a period between August 4, 2023 and April 20, 2024, where he used incognito mode and deleted the internet history on his work laptop, which he was prohibited from doing so by a SHPO made under section 10A of the Sexual Offences Act by Bournemouth Crown Court.
He pleaded guilty to both charges.
Nicola Reece, prosecuting, said: “Day was given a SHPO by Bournemouth Crown Court on August 4 in 2023.
"On August 23 the requirements of the order were explained to him and he signed the order.
“On April 20 of this year officers came to his house unannounced.
“Day appeared nervous as they checked several devices which are monitored.
“His work laptop does not have that.
“His work laptop had no internet history available.
“He admitted he had watched porn on the device and used incognito mode, both which put him in breach of the order.”
The case was adjourned until July 26 for sentencing at Bournemouth Crown Court.
Day was released on unconditional bail until sentencing.
