A MAIN road will be closed for overnight maintenance works.
The A350 Shaston Road at Stourpaine, north of Blandford, will be shut between the hours of 8pm and 5am for workers to carry out asphalt preservation and lining improvements.
The works are due to begin on July 14 and it is anticipated that they will be completed by July 19.
It will be closed between Bushes Road and a point approximately 1,080 metres north.
The temporary closure order will enable Safemark Roadmarking Ltd safe access to carry out asphalt preservation and lining.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Notice will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1,000.
The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
