Ahead of the general election on Thursday, July 4, the candidates for South and West Dorset have spoken to The Echo about why they should get your vote.
Catherine Bennett, Green Party parliamentary candidate for South Dorset:
"I am proud to be from South Dorset and I want a brighter future for my community.
"With a background in education and economics, I now work as a Community Projects Co-ordinator on Portland where I live with my family.
"I have a proven track record in standing up for the community.
"I spoke against the incinerator planned for Portland that is clearly bad for our environment and I started a community fridge project that actively reduces waste and tackles food poverty.
"We must act right now for the ecological crisis, our health and our young people.
"If elected, I will be honest, listen and reflect your voices in parliament."
