Police were called to reports of a woman "in crisis" in Weymouth.
While out on patrols along Brunswick Terrace and Custom House Quay as part of Dorset Police's 100 days of summer campaign, an officer received a report of a woman "in crisis" in Swannery Bridge at midday.
She was located and safeguarding care was provided.
There were no other issues or incidents raised by the community.
A spokesperson for Weymouth and Portland Police said: "Whilst out for foot patrol for 100 days of Summer along Brunswick Terrace and Custom House Quay, PC Strange received a call for a woman in crisis in the area of Swannery Bridge.
"This happened at around 12.05pm today.
"The woman was located and safeguarded. No issues or incidents raised by the community and all areas patrolled were being enjoyed by all."
