Exciting new acts have been added to a popular show’s line-up.
The Dorset County Show will return on September 7 and 8 and this year will bring along some sensational new displays.
This includes Atkinsons Action Horses, IMPs Motorcycle Display Team, Tomahawk Throwing and Alpaca competitions.
James Cox, Show Organiser, said: “At Last year’s show, we introduced new attractions and areas, this year we have built on these positive changes with even more brilliant new acts that not only celebrate Dorset agriculture and countryside but bring fantastic unmissable displays to the County.”
The big family day out is Dorset’s end of harvest celebration as well as a major networking event for the county’s agricultural sector.
The Show brings together everything the county has to offer, introducing new acts alongside favourite local headliners with a modern twist.
Atkinsons Action Horses promise to thrill, excite and astonish audiences with a high energy, breath-taking, death-defying stunt show.
Their trip to the Dorset County Show will be their first time in the county.
From the sound of revving engines to the awe of a billowing fire jump and the suspense of a multiple motorcycle combination ‘cross-over’ routine, the IMPs Motorcycle Display team will have audiences mesmerised.
New to the Woodland Area is have a go, free of charge, Tomahawk Throwing which is being supplied by Rockley Buddens Activity Centre.
While welcoming new additions, the annual traditions remain at the heart of the event with livestock, crafts, delicious refreshments, heavy horses and more.
As ever, the livestock attractions proved to be ever popular with people gathering at the main ring to see prizes given out for cows, goats and sheep.
Dorset County Show relies heavily on its hundreds of volunteers, many of whom have been involved for 40-50 years.
Tickets start from £20 for people aged 16 and over, whilst children go free.
