Drivers in and around Dorset will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A31, from 8pm September 4 2023 to 6am September 7 2024, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A31 both directions Ashley Heath to Palmersford, carriageway and lane closures for drainage work.

• A303, from 8pm January 2 to 5am December 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 both directions Hayes End to Parkhouse - mobile lane works for drainage works.

 

• A35, from 8pm June 24 to 6am July 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A35 Axminster to Bridport - full closure - periodic works - nights, diversion via Axminster onto the A358 to Chard, onto the A303, A3088 to Yeovil, onto the A37 to Weirs Rdabt, re-join the A35.

• A31, from 8pm June 24 to 6am June 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A31 eastbound, Palmersford to Woolsbridge, Lane closures for maintenance work.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
