A newly refurbished park in Weymouth will open to the public this week.
Radipole Park and Gardens was meant to officially open on Saturday, June 15, however, due to poor weather conditions, the official opening was postponed, along with a planned fun day.
The refurbishment has cost £1 million and started last summer, and the town council has now confirmed the park will open to the public on Friday, June 28 - although a new date has yet to be announced.
A spokesperson for Weymouth Town Council said: "The fencing that has surrounded the construction area at Radipole Park and Gardens is coming down at the end of this week which means people will be able to access all areas of the park from Friday, June 28.

"This will include the play area, the car park, the sensory garden, pétanque terrain and table tennis tables.
"We are still finalising arrangements for the postponed fun day to mark the official opening and will announce the new date and all the exciting details soon.
"Please be advised that the kiosk and toilets will not be open on the 28th."
The planned fun-day was set to see performances by the Quangle Wangle Choir and the Weymouth Ukuleleans, who were also going to be doing a workshop on how to play the ukulele.
When the event is reorganised, there will be free sports coaching and taster sessions on the new courts, followed by speeches, along with several stalls will also be there.

The car park has also been refurbished and expanded, offering more spaces for visitors.
New play equipment was installed in the play area, and a sensory garden provides a unique, interactive experience.
A new refreshment kiosk with a seating area and toilet facilities have been installed, and a renewed pathway has been added through the park providing a scenic route for leisurely walks
