A VILLAGE road will be temporarily closed for road maintenance and resurfacing works.
Beaulieu Wood in Buckland Newton will be shut in both directions from the junction with B3143 to Brockhampton, a distance of approximately 2,270 metres.
The road closure order will come into operation on July 1 and it is anticipated the works will be completed by July 12.
Carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works will be carried out by Dorset Council.
The temporary closure order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
Locally signed diversion routes will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
The closures will be in operation, as and when indicated by signs on site.
Advanced warning signs will be placed on the road two weeks advance of the closure to indicate the exact dates the closure will affect the roads.
