A crash near a junction has partially blocked the main road both ways.
Dorset Police received a report at 4.01pm today, Friday June 21 of a crash involving one vehicle on the A35 near Winterbourne Abbas.
Officers are currently at the scene with the fire service.
There are reports of minor injuries and recovery has been requested for the vehicle.
The A35 is now blocked both ways and traffic has also been reported in the area.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "At 4.01pm on Friday June 21, we received a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision on the A35 near Winterbourne Abbas.
"Officers are currently in attendance with the ambulance and fire services.
"Minor injuries have been reported.
"Recovery is being arranged for the vehicle."
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said: "Crew from Dorchester were called to the A35 at Winterbourne Abbas following reports of a road traffic collision at 4.07pm this afternoon.
"The incident involved a single vehicle – firefighters assisted with scene safety before handing over to our police colleagues."
