A celebrity auctioneer is set to hold a valuation day in Dorchester.
Paul Martin, who presented popular BBC show Flog It for nearly 20 years, is visiting Maiden Castle House Care Home on Wednesday, July 3 from 11am-4pm
During the day, residents and members of the public can get a free valuation on their treasured items.
Paul, who is now Head of Valuations at Henry Aldridge and Son Ltd, will start by giving a 30-minute talk to the care home’s residents, their relatives, and visitors followed by a book-signing.
There will also be the opportunity for any items to be sold at auction with a percentage of the auctioneer’s fee being donated to Weldmar Hospicecare, which provides care to people with life-limiting illnesses in Dorset.
Norman, who lives at Maiden Castle House, said: “I’m looking forward to meeting Paul. As well as antiques, he has got an interesting background, as he’s also interested in music, so I’m hoping to ask about that. I also have a little figurine for him to look at which belonged to my mother.”
There is no need to book, just turn up on the day.
