A broken down bus is causing heavy traffic along a busy route in Dorset.
The bus broke down on Portland Beach Road today (Thursday, June 20) at around 3.42pm.
Delays of up to nine minutes are to be expected with traffic reported as far as Wyke Regis.
A cruise ship has also called into Portland Port today, possibly exacerbating the situation.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "A broken down bus on Portland Beach Road is currently causing traffic delays.
"Officers have attended to assist with traffic management as the vehicle is recovered.
"Motorists are urged to avoid the area if possible and we would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding."
