A play telling the story of a famous shipwreck in Dorset will be performed in Dorchester before heading to a celebrated theatre festival.
The Dorchester Youth Theatre Performance Company (DYTPC), part of Dorchester Arts’ youth theatre, is bringing triggerfish to the Corn Exchange for two performances on Thursday, June 27 and Friday June 28.
After that, play will then run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August and the company has launched a fundraiser to cover accommodation, travel and venue costs.

The play is based on the true story of The Royal Adelaide - sailing ship which was wrecked on Chesil Beach in November 1872 while on a journey from London to Australia.
Tickets are available to buy on the Dorchester Arts website and you can donate to the fundraiser by going to the DYT in Edinburgh web page: https://www.dorchesterarts.org.uk
