A popular community event is taking place this weekend in a west Dorset village.
Owermoigne Open Gardens weekend is taking place on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23.
The bi-annual event sees villagers open their gardens for visitors to come see and explore along with refreshments available from the village hall and a plant sale at the local church.
A spokesperson for the event said: "Set in the heart of beautiful west Dorset, you can wander through our historic village to see more than 20 gardens – from formal to wildlife gardens, shady, vegetable and cottage planting, there will be something to stir your imagination and inspire you.
"Drinks are available all day from the village hall, together with cake, ploughman’s lunches and afternoon cream tea.
"Plants will be available for sale outside the church, so come along to re-stock your gardens from local growers."
Tickets cost £5 per person for the whole weekend and will be available from the village hall.
