A Dorset hospital has issued an apology as they experience issues with their phone lines.

Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester are currently facing ‘some technical issues’ with their hospital telephone system.

They have apologised for the inconvenience and have urged patients in need of medical advice to contact NHS 111 as per usual.

The hospital has confirmed that they are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible and will keep people updated on any progress.

A spokesperson for Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust said: “We are currently experiencing some technical issues with our hospital telephone system.

“Apologies if you are currently not able to get through. We are working on resolving the issue as soon as possible and will keep you updated. If you need medical advice please contact NHS 111 as usual.”
