Complaints were made to police officers after children were seen climbing on scaffolding on Weymouth seafront.

Dorset Police received a report from a member of the public yesterday evening that a group of children were climbing on scaffolding in Greenhill.

Upon their arrival, the group had already left, but officers conducted patrols in the area and along Brunswick Terrace.

A group of young people were found sat by the beach huts playing loud music and were spoken to and moved on by officers after being advised to be respectful to residents and business owners in the area.

Officers have said they will continue to patrol the area as it is one of their 100 Days of Summer hotspots.
