The chairman of a community group is looking to pass the baton onto someone new.
Cllr Louie O’Leary who represents Littlemoor on Dorset and Weymouth Town Council took over the role of chairman of Littlemoor Community Action Group from the late Cllr Tony Ferrari last September.
The councillor’s grandparents actually helped to build the hall between 1950 and 1960.
He said: "It's part of my family we are deeply committed to keeping it not just surviving but thriving.
“When I became chairman, I had a list of about 15 things we needed to do and thanks to a brilliant dedicated team of volunteers we've done around 12 of them some require more work it's not been an easy year but we've made good progress towards the future I'm hoping the pass the chairman's role onto someone new".
Nominations for a new chairman can be made ahead of the groups next AGM on Monday, June 24 at 6pm at the Littlemoor Community Centre on Canberra Road.
Any nominations should be sent to littlemoorlcag@outlook.com.
