Residents of a west Dorset address were woken during the early hours by someone attempting to break into their property.

Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following an attempted burglary in Village Road, Bradpole.

The incident occurred at 4.40am on June 6 and police have now launched an appeal.

Police Constable Dan White, of Bridport police, said: “Thankfully, the suspects were disturbed, and nothing was stolen during the incident.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area, or may have captured any relevant footage, to please contact Dorset Police.

“In particular, I understand there were two members of the public who spoke to the victim shortly after the incident and I would ask them to please come forward as they may have important information to help our enquiries.”
