Another cruise ship has called in at Portland Port this morning.
The MS Artania docked at Portland this afternoon (Tuesday, June 11) at around 3.26pm after arriving at 7.16am from Cobh, Ireland with 1,200 passengers on board.
Launched in 1984 as Royal Princess, MS Artania cruise ship is one of Phoenix Reisen's chartered ocean liners, together with the fleet mates Albatros, Amadea and Amera.
It has eight decks and was christened Royal Princess by Princess Diana at a ceremony in Southampton on November 15, 1984.
It sailed under that name for 21 years before ownership transferred to P&O Cruises and, most recently, to Phoenix Reisen.
This call is part of a busy month for the port, with the AIDAsol arriving Friday, and Mein Schiff 3 arriving yesterday.
