TWO MEN have been released under investigation after a pedestrian died in a car crash in Dorset.
Dorset Police were alerted to a collision on the A350 Main Road near Compton Abbas at 7.46pm on June 6.
The crash involved a silver Audi TT Quattro, a grey BMW 218I, and a pedestrian.
The road was temporarily closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
A man in his 60s was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger from the Audi – a man aged in his 20s – was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not believed to be serious.
He has now been discharged from hospital.
A 19-year-old man from Shaftesbury and a man aged in his 20s from Mere in Wiltshire have been arrested on suspicion of driving offences.
Now a spokesperson for Dorset Police said “The two people who were arrested have been released under investigation and our enquiries into the collision remain ongoing.”
