Families are being invited to celebrate mediaeval history at Corfe Castle in an interactive environment.
On Saturday, June 15, kids are invited to engage in immersive lessons about life in the Middle Ages.
A mediaeval games arena will be among the main draws, with three separate lessons being offered during a knight training school, mediaeval dancing classes and a how-to siege a castle class.
National Trust programming manager Eoin McDowell said: “Living History month in June promises to be a favourite for families as it brings the stories of people in mediaeval times to life.
“We can do this in a fun and immersive way, and I am personally looking forward to partying like a knight in 1369.”
On the following weekend, the town cutler will host a workshop showcasing the tools and techniques of skilled mediaeval workers.
Throughout June the National Trust is also offering prizes for any families who explore the century-old grounds to discover the positive and negative impact of local flora.
Normal admission fees and opening hours apply, with the grounds open between 10am and 5pm.
