A woman aged in her 70s has been taken to hospital following a crash in Wyke Regis.

As previously reported, Dorset Police received a report at 1.57pm on Thursday, June 6 of a collision in High Street, Wyke Regis.

It has been revealed by police that a blue Skoda Octavia had collided with two parked vehicles and a pedestrian.

According to the police, the pedestrian, a woman aged in her 70s, was taken by air ambulance to hospital for treatment to serious injuries. The woman’s family has been informed.

The driver of the Skoda, a woman aged in her 60s, was treated for minor injuries.

Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward as they appeal for information.

Sergeant Richard Stroud, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please make contact with us.

“I would also urge anyone with dashcam who was driving in the vicinity around the time of the collision to please check their footage for anything of relevance.

“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place.”
