A BROKEN down vehicle on the A35 has led to long delays for motorists.
The vehicle broke down on the main route near the Stinsford roundabout just outside of Dorchester.
Dorset Police were called to the incident at 3.42pm this afternoon, which caused signification disruption during the busy Friday afternoon rush hour.
A motorist stuck in queues said: "Into and out of Dorchester is gridlocked.
"There are queues both ways leading off the Stadium Roundabout and it's really busy coming out of Weymouth."
The vehicle was later removed and the road was cleared.
A police spokesman said: "At 3.42pm on Friday 7 June 2024, we received a report of a broken-down vehicle on the A35 near the Stinsford roundabout. Officers attended the incident. The road is now clear."
