A woman from Weymouth has been arrested after allegedly assaulting and injuring another woman with a bottle.
As reported, a woman in her 30s was taken to hospital with a cut to her neck following the incident on King Street on Sunday, June 2 - which left blood all over the street.
It was reported that the woman had been assaulted by another woman who was known to her.
She received treatment for the injury which is not believed to be serious.
Following the assault, a 28-year-old Weymouth woman has been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray.
Police officers are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward
Police constable Madeleine Vincent, of Weymouth Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident.
“I would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, or motorists driving in the area at the time who may have captured relevant dashcam footage, to please get in touch.
“I would also urge anyone with information about who was responsible to please come forward.”
