A 'suspicious' car has been seized after blocking a town centre road for several days.
Officers from Weymouth and Portland Police have been conducting increased patrols in the town as part of their 100 Days of Summer operation.
Whilst out on patrol yesterday, Sunday, June 2, officers located the car in New Street and subsequently seized and removed it.
An investigation remains ongoing.
A spokesperson for Weymouth and Portland Police said: "Town centre Neighbourhood Policing Team officers conducting 100 Days Of Summer patrols were called to a suspicious vehicle located in New Street just off the Esplanade this afternoon (June 2).
"Following enquiries into the vehicle it was seized by officers and removed.
"Enquiries are ongoing into useful lines of investigation which have come to light having located the vehicle. The road is now clear having been blocked by the vehicle for several days."
