The coast road is closed due to a 'serious' crash at Abbotsbury.

Dorset Police said at around 1.30pm today: "Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision on the B3157 coast road at Abbotsbury Hill.

"Road closures are in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes if possible.

"We would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding as we respond to this incident."

The Echo understands the road can be accessed between Bridport and Abbotsbury and businesses are open as usual.
