The air ambulance was called to a person suffering a 'medical episode' on a Weymouth beach.
Paramedics raced to the beach at Castle Cove and had to carry the casualty off the beach using a stretcher after treatment was given at the scene.
The incident also saw Coastguard teams from Wyke and Portland Bill assist the ambulance service.
Information about the medical incident has only just been released after taking place on Saturday, May 25.
A spokesperson for Portland Bill Coastguard Rescue Team said: "On Saturday, May 25, the team was tasked by Solent Coastguard to assist our colleagues Wyke Coastguard CRT, South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust Paramedics and Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance with the extraction of a person suffering a medical episode on the beach at Castle Cove.
"On scene the casualty was treated by paramedics, then stretcher carried from the beach by the teams to the awaiting ambulance.
"On completion the teams stood down and returned to their stations."
