Crash on A354 Buxton Road closes Boot Hill in Weymouth

Thw two vehicles crashed on the A354 Buxton Road at Clearmount Road.

The A354 was closed in both directions causing traffic to be diverted away from Boot Hill.

The road is a major road between Weymouth and Portland and drivers were advised to find alternative routes for their journeys.

The motorcyclist is being treated by the ambulance service, their condition is not known.

Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 4.01pm of a collision on Buxton Road in Weymouth involving a car and a motorcycle. It was reported that the road was blocked.

"Officers are at the scene and the motorcyclist is being treated by the ambulance service.

"We do not have any further update at this time."

The number one Weymouth bus was diverted following the crash

Queues of traffic were later seen building up on Abbotsbury Road in Weymouth as drivers were diverted towards Lanehouse and Wyke Regis.
