An eight-year-old girl who challenged herself to walk 200 miles for a lifesaving charity has smashed her target.

Hali-Rai Green from Weymouth has challenged herself to walk 200 miles for the RNLI which is celebrating its 200th anniversary this year.

Just 23 days into it, she managed to complete her goal, however she is not going to stop there and will continue walking until Friday, May 31 when she will arrive at Weymouth Lifeboat Station at around 6pm to confirm how many miles she has managed to complete.

Hali has walked in the rain, in the heat and even in the thunder and has done it all with a huge smile on her face.

At the time of writing, Hali has more than doubled her fundraising goal, raising £403 for the charity.
