A local museum will be offering guided walks on Dorchester's Roman history.
Following the refurbishment to the Roman Town House in Dorchester, Dorchester Museum and Art Gallery have partnered with Dorset Council to offer guided tours of the house.
The tour will begin on High West Street where a presentation on Roman Dorchester and the town house will be given.
After this, guests will be led on a tour of the People’s Dorset Gallery to discover artefacts on display before visiting the town house itself, where people will get the chance to explore the grounds and be granted exclusive access to see the mosaics up close.
A day pass to the museum is included in the ticket, as is a copy of a Roman Town House Guide.
Each tour is limited to 12 participants, with guided walks being offered on Saturday, June 8, Saturday, June 22 and Saturday, July 6, all starting at 10am.]
Ticket prices are £25 for adults, £20 for students, £12 for concession, £10 for children. For more information, visit https://discoverdorchester.co.uk/whats-on/roman-town-house-tours-2/
