A huge cruise ship which has featured on TV has docked in Portland Port.
The Regal Princess arrived at Portland yesterday (Sunday, May 26), at around 6.37am after travelling from Scotland overnight.
The cruise ship, which carries 3,560 passengers, is a regular visitor to Dorset and has featured in the Channel Five show The Cruise: Fun Loving Brits at Sea.
The 20-episode series followed groups of holidaymakers as they sailed through the Mediterranean aboard the luxurious cruise ship.
The ship was built in 2014 and has 19 decks, complete with a casino, freshwater pools and hot tubs, a sports court, as well as an art gallery and shops.
There is the capacity for 1,346 crew members on the boat which has an impressive length of 1,083 feet.
One of the highlights of the ship, which is currently sailing under the flag of Bermuda, is its SeaWalk, a 60ft long glass walkway which sits 128ft above the waves and extending 28ft beyond the edge of the ship.
The boat was christened by the original cast of American sitcom, The Love Boat, and is also a sister ship to the Royal Princess.
On March 5, 2019, Regal Princess rescued two people after their private plane crashed into the Caribbean near Grand Turk.
This is the second visit of the ship to Portland this cruise season and it will be returning on May 28 after picking up new passengers from Southampton before heading back around the British Isles.
