WEYMOUTH:

BENJAMIN BAILEY, aged 29, of Douglas Road, Weymouth. Admitted to possessing a knife in a public place, namely a locking knife on King Street in Weymouth on March 8, 2024. Additionally admitted to assault by beating on Queen Street, Weymouth on March 10, 2024. This is his third bladed article offence. Sentenced to six months in prison, to pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge of £154. Knife to be seized. No separate penalty for the assault.

CONNOR WHITING, aged 19, of Milton Crescent, Weymouth. Admitted to assault by beating of an emergency worker, namely a police constable acting in the exercise of their functions in Weymouth on February 17, 2024. Ordered to pay £100 in compensation and to abstain from drinking for 120 days. Additionally, must remain at home between 5pm and midnight during this period. To attend a maximum of 15 rehabilitation activity days/appointments. Must also pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge of £114.

EMMA SLADE, aged 33, of no fixed abode Weymouth. Admitted to being drunk and disorderly in a public place, namely Frederick Place in Weymouth. Given a conditional discharge of six months. No order for costs.

PHILLIP ANDERSON, aged 40, of Dorchester Road, Melcombe Regis, Weymouth. Admitted to driving a motor vehicle above the alcohol limit at Ullswater Crescent in Weymouth on April 22, 2024. Namely namely 50 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the limit of 35 microgrammes. Additionally admitted to using a motor vehicle on the same road without third-party insurance. Disqualified from driving for 15 months and fined £384. ROBERT LYDEARD, aged 67, of Bincleaves Road, Weymouth. Admitted to driving a motor vehicle on the A35 Trunk Road at Chideock at a speed exceeding 30mph, namely 41mph on October 15, 2023. PAUL CARR, aged 47, of Selwyn Close, Weymouth. Admitted to three counts of possession of controlled drugs. Namely 23.58g of cocaine, a controlled drug of Class A, 24.718g of ketamine, a controlled drug of Class B and a quantity of cannabis, which is Class B. Fined £120, to pay court costs of £40 and a surcharge of £34. The drugs are to be forfeited and destroyed.

DORCHESTER:

CHRISTOPHER BARNES, aged 27 of Hope Close, Crossways, Dorchester. Admitted to breaking the requirements of a community order to attend pre-programmed work sessions as directed. No acceptable reasons for these absences were given within the required timescales. Ordered to pay a fine of £100.

STEVEN KELLEY, aged 29 of Hawthorne Road, Charlton Down. Admitted to assault by beating on and obstructing/resisting a constable in the execution of duty. The incident took place on March 3, 2024 in Dorchester. To pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge of £114. To pay £100 in compensation and complete 30 days of the Building Better Relationships scheme.

Disqualified from driving for 12 months. Fined £120 and £80 for drug possession offences, and £120 for driving offences. Ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge of £128. The cocaine and cannabis are to be forfeited and destroyed.

PORTLAND:

MARIE LOUISE KNIGHT, aged 46, of Woolcombe Road, Portland. Proven to have used a motor vehicle on Abbotsbury Road in Weymouth without insurance and with an expired test certificate on October 13, 2023. Fined £660, ordered to pay a surcharge of £352, court costs of £90. Driving record endorsed with six penalty points. Also fined £200 for the expired test certificate.

KATIE BIRTWISTLE, aged 20, of Castletown, Portland. Admitted to possessing a knife in a public place without good reason or lawful authority, namely Western Road in Weymouth on December 7, 2022. SIMON BROWN, aged 58, of East Weare Road, Portland. Admitted to using violence to secure entry to a premises on Portland knowing that there was someone present on those premises who was opposed to the said entry. DAVID WILSON, aged 67, of Chapel Lane, Osmington. Proved to have failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. ALEXANDER ST JOHN MARSHALL, aged 53, of Pymore Road, Bridport.
