Dorset's internationally-acclaimed sculpture park has installed three new outdoor seating areas for guests to enjoy.

Sculpture by the Lakes has increased its private hire capacity with the installation of three outdoor pods.

The new venues are designed to give guests a private, cosy experience with a 360-degree view of the botanic gardens.

Simon Gudgeon, owner of Sculpture by the Lakes, said: “We’re always looking for new ways to elevate our guest experience.

"Our new pods sit in the most picturesque spots across the park and enable visitors to immerse themselves in and connect with nature in a whole new way."

The Artist’s Corner can be found in a nook of the gardens and is an intimate space for four.

The Hide, which can accommodate up to six guests, sits at the edge of The Artist’s Pool and provides both indoor and outdoor seating for groups.

The Upper Deck sits on the top floor of Sculpture by the Lake's existing venue, The Retreat, enabling guests to enjoy the elevated outlook over the River Frome throughout the seasons.

Simon added: "The outlook from each of our venues provides a stunning canvas for visitors to share unforgettable moments with friends and family.

“We now have seven venues of varying capacity available for private gatherings and events. From family celebrations to unique place for a business meeting or lunches, or if you are looking to just indulge in some quality you time.

"We pride ourselves on offering high-quality spaces and exceptional service to match. We’re looking forward to welcoming more guests and groups to enjoy Sculpture by the Lakes.”

The new venues were made and installed by Dorset-based Pods and Pavilions.

Nathalie Davis, founder of Pods and Pavilions, added: “Working with the team at Sculpture by the Lakes has been an absolute pleasure.

"Our pods provide unique spaces for gatherings and events and are only elevated by the gorgeous backdrop of Pallington Lakes.

“As an immersive and usable show garden, guests at Sculpture by the Lakes can visit our series of pods for a demonstration of their functionality and get in touch with us to enquire about purchasing one for their own home.”
