Pupils past and present from a school in Dorset will be treated to a circus of fun as part of their thirtieth anniversary celebrations.

Prince of Wales School in Dorchester will welcome Happy’s Circus back to their school grounds as part of their 30 year anniversary festivities.

Happy’s Circus, who last visited Dorchester in 2019, provides a professional all human two and a half hour experience presented by a 15-strong touring team in a colourful big top, seating 600 people.

Dorset Echo: On Monday, June 17 the school playing field will transform into a vibrant circus arena, filled with what all the traditions of a big top performance.

Gates will open at 4pm where there will be games and refreshments available. The circus performance will begin at 5.30pm, leading into an evening packed with dazzling acrobatics and hilarious clowns for children of all ages.

Phoebe, a seven year-old pupil at the school said: “I’m so excited- I can’t believe we’re going to have a real-life big top on our school field.”

Speaking about the upcoming extravaganza, headteacher, Mr Gary Spracklen said: "We warmly invite all pupils and staff, both past and present, to join us in celebrating this significant milestone.

“Additionally, we extend this invitation to everyone in the local community. This event is open to all, and we hope to see many familiar faces from the past 30 years as well as new friends.

“Tickets are available to everyone at just £12.50 each, making it an affordable and memorable event for families and friends. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting The Prince of Wales School and its pupils."
