A wildlife charity in Dorset is challenging people to connect with nature every day in June.
Dorset Wildlife Trust has announced the return of its annual 30 Days Wild nature challenge which begins on Thursday, June 1, inviting people to complete different activities to do with nature every day.
Popular activities include wildlife-watching, eating outdoors, planting wildflower seeds and listening to birdsong.
For this year’s challenge, there will be five different weekly themes: tuning into the senses; movement and play; learning and discovery; helping nature; emotional connection to nature.
Brian Bleese, chief executive of Dorset Wildlife Trust, said: “Our 30 Days Wild challenge is one of the highlights of my year. It's a great excuse to get outside and enjoy everything that Dorset has to offer; wildflowers blooming at Kingcombe, butterflies fluttering at Higher Hyde Heath or watching the skylarks bouncing up and down at Upton Heath.”
People can access free resources by signing up to the challenge on the Dorset Wildlife Trust website: wildlifetrusts.org/30dayswild.
