A man has sustained "facial injuries" in an assault in Weymouth.
The victim – aged in his 30s – was assaulted outside Tesco Express in St Thomas Street.
He sustained facial injuries which are not believed to be serious.
The offender was part of a group and they made off into School Street following the incident.
Dorset Police received a report about the assault at 10.22pm on Thursday, May 16 2024 but has today issued an appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after a man was assaulted in Weymouth.
Police Constable Renée Marquis, of Weymouth police, said: “I understand there may have been a number of people in the area at the time and I would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please get in touch.
“I would also urge anyone with information about who was responsible to please come forward.”
