COMMUTERS may face delays due to a landslip earlier today.

Train services operating in Dorset will have to run at reduced speed due to a landslip between Axminster and Honiton.

This impacts stations including Axminster, Sherborne and Gillingham.

Trains running through these stations will be delayed.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Train tickets are not valid on local buses during the disruption.

A spokesperson for South Western Railway said: "Following reports of a landslip on the line between Axminster and Honiton, trains have to run at reduced speed on all lines, meaning that they will be delayed running through the area.

"For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.

"We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey."
