A VAN was destroyed in a fire in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters from Dorchester were called to Blind Lane in Puddletown at around 12.40am this morning.
A tipper truck was "well alight" in a field and was destroyed in the blaze.
A spokesperson for Dorest and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to Blind Lane, Puddletown at 12.44am this morning (May 22) for a tipper truck well alight in a field.
"One crew from Dorchester attended and one breathing apparatus wearer and two hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire, which destroyed the vehicle.
"Crews left the scene around 2.15am."
