Dorset residents are being reminded not to overfill their glass collection boxes.
Dorset Council waste services are urging members of the public who may have lots of empty glass bottles and jars to think about collection crews who have to pick up glass collection boxes.
If overfilled they can become too heavy for them to carry and residents are urged to leave them for a future collection, put them in their own separate box, or order an extra box from the council.
A spokesperson for Dorset Council waste services said: "If you have lots of empty glass bottles/jars, please be considerate to our collection crews and don't overfill your glass box as it can get heavy.
"You could keep some bottles aside for the next collection or use your own box. Alternatively, it’s easy to get an extra glass box.
