Police: Road closed
A main Weymouth to Bridport route has been shut.
Police have closed a section of the Coast Road from Freshwater Holiday Park to the Crown Roundabout.
The cause of the sudden closure is believed to be a crash.
One motorist described seeing police and ambulance in attendance of an incident.
The road has since re-opened.
According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, there was queuing traffic at the Crown Roundabout and others described 'grid lock' traffic on alternate routes including Shipton Lane.
