A PERSON has pleaded guilty to making more than 800 indecent images of young children.
Jamie Wilson, 21, pleaded guilty to one count of making 260 category A (the most serious in nature) indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child; one count of making 284 category B indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child; and one count of making 297 category C indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child.
The offences were committed at an address in Blandford between November 4, 2021 and December 13, 2022.
Victoria Hill, prosecuting at Weymouth Magistrates Court, said: “As a result of information received, police officers attended Wilson’s address. Various devices were seized and on those, a number of indecent images were located.
“The youngest were aged three to five and the majority were aged seven to nine.”
Wilson was listed as a woman on a court document but the defendant told the court they they would like to be referred to as a man.
District Judge Orla Austin said: “You have pleaded guilty to very serious matters outside of my sentencing powers.
“You are now subject to the sexual offence requirement and must attend Weymouth Police Station to notify them that you have pleaded guilty to this.”
Wilson of Mead Way, Shaftesbury, will next appear at Bournemouth Crown Court for sentencing on June 7.
