Firefighters have tackled a chimney fire at a property in Dorset.
The incident was reported yesterday (Tuesday, April 30) at 6.24pm that a chimney fire had broken out at a property near Tolpuddle, near Dorchester.
Crews from Bere Regis Fire Station responded to the incident and used tools on the fire engine and the roads and special hose from a chimney kit to access and extinguish the fire using the minimum amount of water necessary.
A spokesperson for DW Fire said: “Yesterday evening, just before we were about to start our weekly drill night, our fire engine was called out to a chimney fire at a property near Tolpuddle.
“Using the tools we carry on the fire engine and the rods and special hose from our chimney kit we were able to access the fire and extinguish it using the minimum amount of water necessary.”
