A CENTRAL road in Dorchester will be closed one way while electrical works are done.
South Walks Road will be shut westbound between its junctions with Acland Road and Prince of Wales Road to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution, safe access to carry out the works.
An alternative route will be signed using: Acland Road - B3150 - B3147 - B3144.
The temporary road closure order came into operation on April 29.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed by May 17.

The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
