A NEW agricultural show is set to begin today.
The Dorset Spring Show is set to take place at Kingston Maurward, near Dorchester, today (Saturday, April 27) and tomorrow (Sunday, April 28).
The exciting event will feature lambs, floral demonstrations, axemen, beeswax rolling, and terrier racing among other events and displays.
The Dorset Spring Show has come from the creative minds behind the Dorset County Show.
The event will include everything from education, entertainment, food, farming and flowers.
Visitors will even have the opportunity to engage in demonstrations including beekeeping, falconry, baking and flower arranging.
People can also learn about some of the rarest pigs in the world and witness pig agility to see just how intelligent pigs are on the Hogg Show as well as being introduced to nine different breeds of sheep.
More than 90 competitions are set to be hosted across cookery, photography, flowers, vegetables and crafts and the marquee will be based in a Gardeners' Village where shoppers can stop to buy spring bulbs, or new garden ornaments.
There are also associated garden classes which will take place alongside school, college, and club competitions.
Children go free and adult tickets are just £12 and can be purchased here: https://dorsetcountyshow.ticketsrv.co.uk/tickets/38.
