A MOTORCYCLIST has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a crash with a pick-up truck.
Emergency services were called to Sheepcroft Lane in Holt at around 9.30am today.
A learner motorcyclist was involved in a crash with a grey Ford Ranger pick-up truck.
The road was temporarily closed by road traffic police while paramedics dealt with the male motorcyclist.
He was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “At around 9.35am on Tuesday, April 23, Dorset Police received a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision in the Holt area of Wimborne involving a car and a motorcycle.
“Officers attended with the ambulance service and the road was temporarily closed.
“A man was taken to hospital for treatment to a serious leg injury.”
A spokesman for East Dorset police has appealed for any witnesses to come forward by contacting 101 and quoting the crime reference number 55240059661.
