If your mobile phone runs out whilst out this weekend, a group of night time volunteers will be about to help.
The Weymouth Street Pastors are out every Friday and Saturday night, come rain or shine, from around 9.45pm to 3am, in order to make sure that vulnerable people stay safe.
A spokesperson for the Weymouth Street Pastors said: “We appreciate that when your phone runs out it can leave you feeling upset, vulnerable, or concerned, sometimes with no way to pay for a taxi home or make contact with friends. This is something we regularly see as Street Pastors.”
If you find your mobile without charge, the volunteers ‘always carry’ a portable charging pack on them which will charge most phones.
In addition, the Safe Space unit based at St Mary’s Church which the street pastors are based at will also be able to charge phones in a warm environment which is also open from 9.45pm-3am.
Entrance to Safe Space is via Maiden Street.
