A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of theft after a lamb was stolen from a field in Sturminster Newton.
A lamb was stolen from a field in the Puxley Lane area on Sunday March 24, according to reports by police.
Following enquiries by the Rural Crime Team and Sturminster Newton Neighbourhood Policing Team, the lamb was successfully located by officers at a property in the Sturminster Newton area and returned to the victim.
A woman in her 40s from Sturminster Newton has been arrested on suspicion of theft and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.
