Police in an unmarked car were spotted carrying out searches in Upwey.

Officers were seen near to Upwey Train Station searching for a missing teenage girl after a concern was raised for her welfare.

The teenager was located just over an hour after the initial call was made at 11.51am on Tuesday, April 9.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 11.51am on Tuesday, April 9, raising concern for the welfare of a missing teenager in Weymouth.

“Officers attended and carried out searches. She was subsequently located at around 1pm.”
