A new Post Office that will be available 105 hours a week has opened within a shop in a north Dorset town.
The new Post Office branch opened on Wednesday, April 10 at the Spar Late Stop on Mampitts Lane in Shaftesbury.
Postal and banking services, including cash withdrawals and balance enquiries for customers of all the main banks in the country, will be available at the shop seven days a week between the hours of 7am to 10pm.
The 'low-screened, open-plan' Post Office service point is integrated into the retail counter of the shop.
This is the second Post Office in the town, with the other site situated on Coppice Street.
Antoinette Chitty, Post Office Network Provision Lead, said: “We want to make it as easy as possible for customers to pay their bills, withdraw cash from their bank accounts, and send and collect their mail at a time and place that suits them best.
“We know how important our services are to customers and are confident that this brand-new Post Office alongside the other branches in the area at Shaftesbury and Ludwell will ensure that people in this area of Shaftesbury have easy access to our services.”
