THE A35 remains closed this morning after two HGV lorries were involved in a crash in Winterbourne Abbas last night.
The crash caused a huge diesel spillage that damaged around 150 metres of road surface.
The crash was reported at around 6.30pm last night as police and firefighters rushed to the scene.
The road has now reportedly been re-opened.
It was closed both ways between A37 Monkeys Jump Roundabout and A3066 Sea Road.

The closure remains in place for emergency repairs to the road.
A man was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
The road is expected to re-open at around 3pm.
A spokesperson for National Highways said: "Drivers are advised that the A35 in Dorset is likely to remain closed in both directions throughout the morning following a serious collision.
"Both the east and westbound carriageways are closed between the A37 (Dorchester) and the A3066 (Bridport) following the collision yesterday (Wed) evening.
"Two HGVs were involved in the incident and there was a significant fuel spillage which has damaged some 150m of road surface.
"Resurfacing work is needed to repair the surface and the road is not expected to open until after the morning peak traffic.
"Drivers are advised to allow extra time for journeys or avoid the area if possible."
Details of the diversion routes can be found on the National Highways website.
Bridport Fire Station said at 7pm: "We are currently dealing with a road traffic collision involving a lorry on the A35 between Bridport and Winterbourne Abbas. The road is closed and will be for some considerable time.
"Please avoid the area and find an alternative route."
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "Dorset Police was called at 6.35pm on Wednesday 10 April 2024 to a report of a collision involving two lorries on the A35 at Winterbourne Abbas near Dorchester.
"Officers attended with the fire and ambulance services.
"The road remains closed between the junction with Winterbourne Steepleton and East Road Roundabout in Bridport to allow emergency services and the highways authority to safely deal with the incident."
The crash has also caused disruption to public transport, with the X51 now diverted via the B3157 Coast Road in both directions.
